ok, so the previously mentioned guy wasnt so cool after all.

and somehow, every co worker of mine was EXTREMELY worried about me and gave me lots of lectures about going out in bangalore. oops!

moving out soon! should be exciting! the family i am staying with seems pretty cool. they make yummy food.

still trying to figure out what exactly it is that i should be doing here at work. i dont have my groove yet. i am just impatient.

i want to do this for 6 months. thats enough, right? jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

oh yea, and my visa expires in january. OOPS.

In the great city of Bangalore!!

So far:

* met a cool guy on the plane! he gave me his digits

* found a cool muslim girl that i might live with

* found a tv station that plays dc (this is the best one)

* accumulated approx 33 bug bites (no exxageration)

* learned the bus routes

So, India isn't so bad! And, the weather is nice!! The rain is pretty cool. Very Monsoon Wedding-ish.

But, of course, there is something missing.

Whats happiness if you can't share it?

so, i graduated.

bing! lets hang out! i am in t-town.

also, does anybody know of silly jobs to have this summer? like something outside? i want something silly and fun and interesting. but not somewhere where they serve food because i will eat it. i want to do some outside stuff. like, maybe mow some lawns? get a tan? work at an under the sun type place? i applied at home depot. i hope that works out!!

OMG. so his mom is totally insane. she wants to have us over for dinner. seriously, she calls like 4 times a day, wondering if i had seen his picture yet.

he totally called me! from australia! but i was shopping and he couldnt hear me and so he said he would call back on monday and then his mom called my mom and was like WTF and my mom was like, oh we are home now, you can tell him to call at home. but they dont have call waiting here! so we made my aunt be on the land line. ha!!!

and then i got my henna done and it is all up my arm. AND i just got bit. like. right now. while typing. and i have a bug bit on my hand and it is all swollen up. maybe i should have taken my shots?

so here i am, sitting on a computer on the 2nd floor of my mom's uncles place. we were first in a hotel because we didnt have any immediate family around, but we decided to crash this place. its the house with the middle all open and such. way awesome. pretty much just how i would want to live here.

its our 5th day of shopping and we still need more stuff. shopping is unbelievably tiring. first, you go into the store, and there are clothes are stacked upon each other, and the salespeople tell you to sit down and ask you what you are looking for and you end up staying for hours at a time. and then sometimes you dont buy what you are looking for but you still spend way too much money. and then there are people who know that we are american so they rip us off so we have to get reinforcements to save us. mainly we just look like idiots! with a lot of not knowing whats going on. and then sometimes if you are there for a long time they bring drinks for you! there is this drink called thums up (without the b) and it is kind of gross. but you cant drink from the glass bottle cause they reuse the bottles. you have to put a downpayment on the bottles if you are not drinking them at the cafe. yea, so um i dont know if i can get a bottle of pepsi for you , kever... i dont know if you want a used one?

lets see.... what else? oh, right. the food is amazing. so fresh.

oh yea, and i had an interview the other day and the guys side want me to marry their son while i am in india. he lives in australia, but they said he would totally come up. umm... so i might see you guys? jk.
